Teenage girls, would you want to read a book like this?

I'm a writer, and I'm trying to get a grasp of what issues young girls are facing and are interested in reading about today. Here's a slightly abbreviated version of the proposal:

shy teen girl goes her whole life unnoticed until she is forced to move to a new city several hours away from where she grew up (this is how the story begins). as luck would have it, she ends up moving next door to the most popular/attractive guy at her school. he introduces her to the world for the first time at 15--she attends her first party goes on her first date, has her first kiss, has a group of girl friends...but it all comes with a price--alcohol is present at the party, her first boyfriend has been sexually active in the past, her friends are catty and gossip about one another, and she is close with one of the girls boyfriend....she is also forced to continue to make time for her family that she is very close with while she balances her new social life.

what do you think?

would this touch on a lot of issues that young girls are dealing with?

and would you buy/read this book if it were published?

what are some other things you like to read about?

what other issues would you like to see addressed?Teenage girls, would you want to read a book like this?
It sounds like a great storyline, and touches on many issues that young girls are dealing with. I (even though I'm not much of a chick-lit reader) would purchase this book if it were described in this manner on the back cover. Other things I like to read about are abusive situations, addictions, and everyday relationships. Other issues I would like to see addressed are maybe a breakup or two (no one's love life is perfect, especially during the teenage years), and maybe a few references on drugs (tobacco, marijuana, cocaine, etc.) and pharming parties, suicide, or over-protective parents. Hope I could help, and best of luck! :-)Teenage girls, would you want to read a book like this?
Well, it has a good story line, but I wouldn't, due to the fact I don't read unless I have to for school.
yeap, that sounds like a good plot...

n yeah i have the same problem, except i have to still find the ';boyfriend'; and stuff.. the luck stuff didnt happen

but it would be fun to read bout it..

i'd like to read a book from a guy's perspective... cus every girl wants to know whats going on in a guys mind and its pretty cute (im gonna write a book as well someday, so im gonna do this)

but so can u

u should add stuff that a girl would want in her life...

good luck
